KL Rahul successfully underwent surgery in Germany, where he was accompanied by Athiya.
KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty have frequently grabbed headlines due to their relationship status and anticipated wedding. However, the duo never made their plans public. Meanwhile, the actress on Wednesday reacted to the marriage rumours a day after her father, actor Suniel Shetty, addressed the claims of the two getting married. The actress dispelled the rumors on her Instagram story.
Reports suggested that Rahul’s parents went to Mumbai to meet Athiya’s family. It further stated that both Athiya and Rahul visited the new home they will be relocating to, together with their families. It also added that Athiya herself was in charge of overseeing the wedding preparations, which were scheduled to take place in Mumbai.
In response to rumors regarding the couple’s wedding, Athiya posted a message on her Instagram Stories and wrote: “I hope I’m invited to the wedding that’s taking place in 3 months, Lol.”

Sunil Shetty’s answers in an interview hinted at the couple’s wedding
Rahul took a trip to Munich with Athiya, where he underwent his medical procedures for the surgery. While the cricketer shared a couple of pictures from his travel, reports of their marriage broke out over the course of the weekend. Suniel Shetty’s response to the claims made the rumored news believable and also, this was not the first time that the actress’ family had a say on the topic.
Over three years have passed since Athiya and Rahul reportedly started dating. When KL Rahul joined the Shetty family at the premiere of Ahan Shetty’s Bollywood debut film Tadap, the duo made their relationship public. That was also the couple’s first appearance together in public. Suniel Shetty had shown his affection for Rahul in his recent interview, which sparked rumors about the wedding.
“It is for them to decide what they want to do because times have changed. Beti aur beta dono hi responsible hai (My daughter and son are both responsible people). I would like them to take the decision. My blessings are always there for them,” he was quoted by News 18.
