Gujarat Titans are scheduled to play against Rajasthan Royals in the Qualifier 1 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 24. Gujarat Titans were the first team to get qualified for the Playoffs while Rajasthan managed to secure the second spot by pushing LSG to the eliminator.
Ahead of this crucial encounter, Jos Buttler’s former RR teammate Rahul Tewatia has praised the batter’s performance so far in the tournament by recalling the time he spent with the Rajasthan franchise during the 2020-2021 IPL Season. Gujarat Titans have shared a video on their official Twitter handle where three former Royals like Rahul Tewatia, David Miller, and Varun Aaron shared their experience of Rajasthan days.
Tewatia Said: “He (Buttler) is as calm off the field as he is aggressive with the bat,” “I hope he retains the orange cap but doesn’t score against us.” David Miller also endorsed Tewatia’s statement by saying: “(He has been) very solid. The way he has been batting is incredible this season.”
Crossing over to Gujarat from Rajasthan, these Titans know the opposition pretty well 😁

Sanju Samson as captain has got a really nice balance: David Miller
The English International has enjoyed an overall good season so far, however, in the last few innings, he failed to show his full abilities with the bat. Varun Aaron has said that he got the opportunity to share the dressing room with some of the greats in the Rajasthan camp in earlier days. On the other hand, both Tewatia and Miller lauded their former captain Sanju Samson also. (Currently RR Captain).
Miller has said: “Being in the (bio) bubble, you get to do a lot more with the team. Sanju as captain has got really nice balance. (He is a) great guy and a seriously good cricketer,” Meanwhile, Tewatia added: “Playing for Rajasthan Royals was a breakthrough for me. Sanju has been a great captain on the field. We share a close bond; excited to meet him in the playoffs.”
