'I joke around with everyone, I started joking around with her as well' - Virat Kohli opens up about his first meet with Anushka Sharma

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of the couples who are highly followed and respected all over. They have a huge fan base and whenever the two share a glimpse of their lives, their followers adore it. It is a known fact that both of them had initially crossed paths while shooting for a television commercial. However, recently the India skipper Virat Kohli opened up about the first time he met the actress.

In an interview with fellow cricketer Dinesh Karthik, Kohli asserted that it was a joke that really got them talking. The duo met each other on the sets of a commercial shoot and Kohli states that his habit of joking around everyone made him do that with Anushka as well and pointed that it broke the ice as it helped them to connect. “I joke around with everyone. I started joking around with her as well. She said, ‘It was the first time I saw someone around me joking about the things I have experienced as a child.’ So, that really connected,” Virat Kohli told Dinesh Karthik.

The interview was taken ahead of the first Test between England and India and it went down well as the skipper spoke about the series along with his personal life. Dinesh Karthik took it to Twitter to express his feelings on interacting with Kohli. He wrote: “What a week it has been! Virat Kohli had earlier spoken about meeting Anushka for the first time

Speaking on the talk show ‘In Depth’ With Graham Bensinger, back in the year 2019 Kohli had stated that he was nervous during their first meet and that made him crack a joke. Opening up further he said, “Didn’t you get a higher pair of heels?” Recalling the encounter, Virat added: “Then she was like ‘excuse me’ and then I was like ‘no, I am just joking’. My joke became such a weird moment. I was such a fool, to be honest, but she was so confident.”

The couple had recently spent some quality time with each other in England as Anushka has traveled along with their daughter with him for the series. Both of them have been posting pictures of their outings and were giving sneak peeks of it to their followers and friends.
