Rishabh Pant was in the limelight during the recently concluded Test series against Australia for his sledging and batting both. After encouraging Pat Cummins to hit a six, he was involved in a hilarious banter with Tim Paine and the ‘babysitter’ sledge became way too viral, albeit in a friendly manner. Pant also shone with the bat scoring 350 runs in the seven outings and improved a lot as a wicket-keeper.
Most importantly, the youngster didn’t take any pressure while playing for the first time down under and made sure that the on-field banter didn’t affect his performances. When asked about his sledging episode with the Australian captain and Pant cleared that he will give it back if someone tries to provoke him. He also went on to add that he will never cross the line and knows his values.
“That’s how I am. If someone provokes me, I’ll give it back. I had a duty to do for my team. But I know the code of conduct. I remember my values. I have sledged and people have actually loved it,” Pant said while speaking to the Times of India.
Pant reveals the love of his life
Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant has returned home after a gruelling Test series and is taking the much-needed rest. He will be in the action against England Lions soon as the chief selector MSK Prasad has stressed the fact that the youngster is not out of the plans for the World Cup. Pant will be keen on making the opportunity count in order to stake his claim for the mega event.
Moreover, everything is going fine for the 21-year-old in his personal life. He revealed the love of his life on his official Instagram account and she is Isha Negi who is an entrepreneur and an interior decor designer. With him being in happy space, the cricketer will be looking to continue shining on the field as well.
