Kapil lauded the southpaw’s ability to play without any pressure.
Legendary Indian all-rounder Kapil Dev has lavished massive praises on Ravindra Jadeja as the 33-year-old has been on a roll lately. Be it taking wickets with the ball or playing match-defining knocks lower down the order, Jadeja has impressed one and all with his three-dimensional skills. Moreover, he has become the top-ranked Test all-rounder. Kapil is also mighty pleased with Jadeja’s stellar show as he heaped massive praises on the Saurashtra-born cricketer.
Captain of India’s 1983 World Cup-winning team, Kapil lauded the southpaw’s ability to play without any pressure. Notably, Jadeja rewrote the record books during the first match of the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka. While he slammed a breathtaking 175 not while batting, the left-arm spinner took a total of nine wickets in the game as the Lankan Lions suffered an innings defeat.
Nothing can be done properly to put Ravindra Jadeja under pressure: Kapil Dev
Jadeja’s jaw-dropping show earned praises from different corners and Kapil is the latest do so. “I love Ravindra Jadeja’s game among the new cricketers because he plays without pressure. He enjoys cricket. That’s why he is good at bowling as well as batting. He also does a great job in fielding,”said Kapil Dev while inaugurating North India’s first fully active joint replacement Robot at Sarvodaya Hospital in Faridabad
“I believe that nothing can be done properly under pressure. If you take pressure in the field of cricket, then your performance will be bad,” he added. Meanwhile, Kapil was also asked which cricket venue is closest to his heart.
The Haryana Hurricane had no hesitation in naming Chennai’s M.A Chidambaram Stadium as he enjoyed a gala time at the venue. “I can proudly say that Chepauk is one of the grounds where I never failed,” said Kapil who played 131 Tests said.
Meanwhile, Team India is currently battling it out with Sri Lanka in the second and final Test of the series. The fast-paced game has so far seen India completely dominating the Lankan Lions. At stumps on Day 2, Sri Lanka were 28/1 in a chase of 447 runs.
