'I saw Sachin Tendulkar dancing for the first time' - Harbhajan Singh describes emotions after winning 2011 World Cup

India lift the World Cup after 28 years”. After almost a decade, the memories of Indian brigade lifting up the coveted trophy are still etched in the heart of every Indian fan.
Moreover, the value of clinching the World Cup trophy notched up even more after seeing an ecstatic Sachin Tendulkar. The Indian stalwart has always described winning the marquee event as the biggest and most emotional moment of his illustrious career.

Post the match, all players including Harbhajan Singh couldn’t control their emotions after becoming World Champions. Harbhajan Singh reminisced the moment and opened up how he saw an elated Sachin Tendulkar dance for the first time.
“That day I saw Sachin Tendulkar dancing for the first time, for the first time he didn’t care about people around him and he was enjoying with everyone which I will always remember,” the off-spinner said while speaking on Star Sports’ ‘Cricket Connected’ show.
“I remember sleeping with my medal on that night when I woke up, I had the medal on me and it felt great,” said Harbhajan as quoted by Hindustan Times.

All players were emotional after winning the trophy and Harbhajan said that it was something that the whole team dreamed together. Lifting the World Cup is certainly a special moment for any cricketer and this was the first time when emotions took over and Harbhajan cried in front of everyone.
“It was something that we dreamed together, it was just coming through and it was an unbelievable feeling. I still get those goosebumps when I think about those moments. Lifting the World Cup was really something special and it was probably the first time I cried in front of everyone. That feeling was overwhelming, I didn’t know how to react,” Harbhajan added.
On 2 April 2020, Tendulkar also looked back upon the incident and termed it as ‘Best moment of my cricketing life’. He uploaded a video on Twitter where the Master Blaster revealed that couldn’t control his tears of joy at that moment.
