KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal gearing up for West Indies series
Meanwhile, Team India is currently gearing up for the home series against West Indies, which comprises three ODIs and as many T20Is. The action gets underway on February 6 and the Men in Blue, after suffering a humiliating 0-3 whitewash in the preceding ODI series against South Africa, will fight for redemption.
While Agarwal, who’s generally considered only for Tests, hasn’t been picked for the series, Chahal and Rahul will have a point to prove. The latter will be available from the second ODI onwards. Notably, the selectors have made some major decision for this series with youngsters like Ravi Bishnoi and Deepak Hooda earning call-ups for their sensational show in the domestic cricket.
As regular skipper Rohit Sharma returns in the team, KL Rahul is all but likely to slot back in the middle-order. On the other hand, time is running out for Chahal with young spinners emerging in the country. The 31-year-old couldn’t create much impact in the rainbow nation and would like to redeem himself.
