I think MS Dhoni will have one more burst for India in next two years: Brad Hogg
Hogg has been interacting with the fans on social media more these days.
Coronavirus pandemic has put the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in troubled waters. Earlier, the tournament was deferred until April 15 but with the whole country under lockdown until April 14, it seems things are getting worse. There seems to be a little chance of IPL going ahead this year and along with it, once again the speculations around MS Dhoni retiring from the game have grown.
India’s newly minted chief selector Sunil Joshi and even the head coach Ravi Shastri had hinted that a good IPL season might pave the way for Dhoni into the Indian team ahead of the T20 World Cup. But with the IPL unlikely to happen, his international future, according to many, is in doldrums. While many think the 38-year-old might retire silently now, the former Australia cricketer Brad Hogg feels otherwise.
The 49-year-old has been conduction a Q&A session to interact with the fans over the last few days and has answered some interesting questions. And one of the curious Indian fans asked him about the trending topic which is MS Dhoni’s retirement. “@Brad_Hogg What u think, If IPL 2020 cancelled, Dhoni should retire from International cricket,” the fan’s tweet read.
Brad Hogg doesn’t think MS Dhoni will retire if IPL 2020 is cancelled
Brad Hogg urged the fans to not care much about MS Dhoni’s future and just enjoy whatever he has done during his illustrious career. He also went on to say that the veteran always looks calm whatever the situation and cleared that he doesn’t think that Dhoni will retire in case the IPL 2020 is cancelled. Rather Hogg backed him to play for India again soon.
“Speculation, I don’t think he will announce it, he seems pretty calm about things & moves onto the next thing he needs to accomplish. It’s been an entertaining career, let’s enjoy what he has done! I feel he may have one more burst in the next 2 years for India,” Hogg’s response read.

Meanwhile, as far as MS Dhoni is concerned, he is back to spending time with his family again. He had started his practice with the CSK camp ahead of the IPL but the Coronavirus outbreak has disrupted his plans and it remains to be seen when he returns to the field now.
