The fun-filled action of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to get underway on September 19. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) have very well pulled their socks up to set the stage on fire. The CSK skipper MS Dhoni is known as one dedicated person and believes less in coming in front of the camera. Some of his closest friends and even wife Sakshi sometimes struggle to get a glimpse of him.
A practice session of CSK went live on Instagram, which was handled by the franchise’s team manager Russell Radhakrishnan. Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi requested him to show a glimpse of her dashing husband, and the camera was immediately moved towards the CSK skipper.
During the session, Sakshi commented, “I wanna see Mahi?” When she finally got a look at the 39-year-old, she was too quick to show gratitude. She commented “thank you” and “spotted him” in the comments.

MS Dhoni set to return after a long gap
The event becomes all the more thrilling for CSK’s fans as Dhoni will be marking his presence on the cricket field after a gap of 14 long months. He was last seen on the field during the heartbreaking semi-final against New Zealand during World Cup 2019. The season opener will have all the eyes from the world as two heavyweights will be taking on each other.
The Yellow Army would be putting its best foot ahead to avenge last year’s trauma where Dhoni and his men had to face the defeat by a single run. The big event will go live from Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi under the well managed bio-secure bubble. Though things will be a little difficult for Chennai as they will be playing with the absence of some of their star players, the team would try to fill in their shoes well.
CSK’s vice-captain and key player, Suresh Raina, and veteran Harbhajan Singh decided to pull off the tournament, citing personal reasons. Before that, 13 members of the contingent also tested COVID-19 positive only to delay the team’s outdoor training sessions. Keeping all this aside, Dhoni’s lions in yellow are set to roar in the season opener.
