'I was madly in love with him' - Irfan Pathan's fan shares her encounter with the all-rounder after an India-Pakistan match

The female fan said that she screamed like hell to meet Irfan Pathan back in 2006.

Irfan Pathan, the former Indian all-rounder was known for his lethal swing bowling. During the course of his career, Irfan had a huge female fan-following due to his on-field performances, looks as well as fascinating smile. Irfan bid adieu to international cricket back in January 2020. However, he still is a popular face of the sport. Now, one of Irfan’s female fans has come out revealing about an instance that happened back in 2005-06 DLF Cup.

India and Pakistan were scheduled to play two-match ODI series in UAE. The Men in Green got off to a great start and registered an amazing victory in the series opener by six wickets. Afterwards, coming from behind, the Men in Blue outclassed Younis Khan and Co by a margin of 51 runs and levelled the series 1-1.

Irfan Pathan’s female fan shares a series of tweets

In that series, Irfan Pathan bowled at his best and made Pakistan batsmen dance to the rhythm of his swing bowling. Moreover, he took a three-for in the second and final match of that series. Overall, he bowled at an economy rate of well below six in every game.

His female fan recollected India’s win and her encounter with the bowling all-rounder. The fan took to her Twitter handle and shared a series of tweets while talking about the instance that happened in Abu Dhabi. She said that in one of the games played in Abu Dhabi, the security was pretty relaxed. As per her, after the match presentation, the gates were open and anyone could go and walk in that area.

In the next tweet, she said that when she requested everyone to let her meet Pathan, then everybody refused for the same. Hence, she screamed for two to three times before her favourite player came out to meet the fans. Afterwards, Irfan called her separately, gave autograph and took a picture.

She also shared a clip on her account in which the former Indian all-rounder can be spotted giving autographs to his fans.
