It has been the season of biopics in Bollywood. With many biopics floating around the lives of Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, and Mohammad Azharuddin, fans might get to see a biopic on Yuvraj Singh soon too.
At a recent promotional event of MTV Youth Marketing Forum 2016, Yuvraj Singh expressed his desire to tell his aspiring story to the world in a biopic. His inspiring life story is not just about the game of cricket but also about the way he fought cancer and made a comeback to the team.
Yuvi had also released his autobiography in the year 2013, titled ‘The Test of My Life’. The book narrated his struggles on the field and his story of surviving the battle against cancer. Recently ANI spoke to the Indian batsman and asked him if he would like to do a biopic as well, the left-handed batsman said that cricket remains to be his priority for now but would definitely like to do a biopic to inspire the youth.
“My priority is cricket for now. Of course, I would love to tell my story through a film but only when I would think of hanging my boots,” quoted Yuvraj Singh.
Yuvraj further spoke about his start-up foundation named YouWeCan. He said that his foundation aims at providing education to the kids and funds the kids with cancer for their treatment. He also cited that the foundation has already generated about 600 jobs and was content with the way the foundation is going ahead.
The southpaw has been out of action in the IPL so far following an ankle injury that he sustained during the ICC World T20. He is expected to make his comeback on May 6, playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
