ICC congratulates super consistent Rashid Khan with a special tweet

They rightly cited that the leggie is picking up wickets at an alarming regularity.

Young Afghanistan leggie Rashid Khan is on a record breaking spree. His herculean run of form with the ball is fetching him a lot of attention in the cricket world. After every game, the praises come in flooding for the most successful T20 bowler of the modern day cricket. Even the International Cricket Council (ICC) is stunned to see the consistency with which Rashid is performing.

In his most recent international appearance, Rashid Khan returned with figures of 4/12 in the second T20I against Bangladesh. He bowled exceptionally well to put his team in the commanding position in the game. At one stage, Bangladesh looked stable at 93/3. However, a sudden turnaround took place with Rashid bowling a couple of overs. The score slumped to 108/8 and the innings crashed big time.

Rashid scalped four wickets which included a triple strike in the 16th over of the match. Afghanistan went on to win the match and Rashid was named as the Player of the Match. It is worth noting that the leg spinner had won the Player of the Match in the first game as well. In the first T20I, he had bagged 3/13 to be the star for his team.

The efforts of Rashid Khan has given Afghanistan an unassailable lead in the 3-match T20I series with 2-0 in their favor. They will now be hoping for a clean sweep before heading in to their first ever Test match in a week’s time. The ICC was stunned to see Rashid bagging the Player of the Match awards at will. They congratulated the youngster on his achievement with a special tweet. They rightly cited that the leggie is picking up wickets at an alarming regularity. He certainly is a legend in the making.
