The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed some of the new playing conditions that are supposed to come into force when the ICC Test Championship come into play after the World Cup 2019. Given that the Test Championship is considered to be an important move by the international body to bring in more eyeballs for the five-day format, these new playing conditions are poised to generate interest in the game.
The dwindling numbers in the Test format have made ICC think out of the box and have come up with some of the most innovative ideas for the format and now the fans of the purest form of the game will see them moving on with the modern times.
Instagram handles on the back of the player’s jersey
One of the most innovative things that ICC is poised to bring is including Instagram handles of the players on the back of the jersey, along with the already included numbers in Test cricket. Though the purists will scoff at the notion of putting numbers on the back of the all-white jersey, ICC plans to include social media as well.
As part of our efforts to make the game more appealing to younger generations, the ICC will be applying both numbers and Instagram handles to kits from the beginning of the World Test Championship. pic.twitter.com/XnvantQfc9

No more toss
Yes, the age-old tradition of the toss is going to be done away with. No, ICC is not going with the god awful BBL idea of flipping bats, instead, they are going with Twitter Polls. ICC is going to ask the fans what their favourite teams should do before the match and option with highest poll votes win and the team will have to do as mandated.
In further changes ahead of the World Test Championship, the tradition of the coin toss will be replaced by a @Twitter poll, allowing fans at home to decide who bats and bowls! pic.twitter.com/7wOuB8psZJ

Commentators on the field
Some time ago, we had seen Nasser Hussain commentating from the field of play during the West Indies vs World XI match at Lord’s. While this was a one-off thing that wasn’t well received, but ICC thinks this will be a better thing to bring viewers closer to the play and will have commentators positioned strategically on the field.
In a move to bring fans even closer to the sport, broadcasters will have the option to position commentators on the field of play behind the slips cordon 🎙 pic.twitter.com/l8FMdFcCZ9
