Scientists keep exploring new dimensions which many never thought existed. AB de Villiers was cricket’s Nobel prize-winning scientist, who did some ridiculous stuff with utter ease and mesmerized fans for over a decade. All of that brilliance ended when he hung up his boots in 2018, but the sight of AB de Villiers walking and weeping in distress in Auckland last World Cup will never fade away.

It seemed like the script had all the perfect ingredients in the last World Cup for ABD to go and lay hands on the trophy. Yet, they somehow faltered against New Zealand in the semifinals by the closest of margins, leaving yet another heartbreak. Besides 2015, he represented South Africa in the 2007 and 2011 World Cups as well.
