ICC World Cup 2019: Greenstone Lobo predicts the winner of the India-Pakistan clash
The game is scheduled to take place of June 16.
After the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the World Cup is set to get underway in a couple of weeks’ time. Hosts England and South Africa are scheduled to play the opening match at the Kennington Oval in London on Thursday, May 30. However, the most awaited contest remains to be India’s encounter against Pakistan on Sunday, June 16 at the Old Trafford in Manchester.
Pakistan has beaten India in ICC tournaments that includes the Champions Trophy. However, the Men in Green are yet to get the better of the Indian team in the World Cup. The game has been in the discussion for a long time, more so after the Pulwama attacks back on February 14, 2019, following which many believed that the marquee class should immediately be called off.
Lobo puts forth his prediction
However, as of now, there’s no news on it. In the meantime, scientific astrologer Greenstone Lobo predicted the winner of the most-awaited clash in the mega event. He had no hesitation about the winner and the answer was a definite ‘yes’ in favour of India as per reports in the Asian Age.
He was also asked about whether India and Pakistan would meet in the final. However, he reckons that the chances of both teams winning the 50-overs extravaganza are pretty low and hence, chances of them meeting in the final also remain low.
“It’s not possible at all The chances of both or either of the teams winning the Cup are low and hence both will not meet in the final,” Lobo was quoted as saying.
Last time, these two teams met in the 2015 World Cup at the iconic Adelaide Oval. Virat Kohli scored a century and the Men in Blue came out trumps comfortably by 76 runs. From Pakistan, only Misbah-ul-Haq showed some resistance with a knock of 76 from 84.
