India continued their winning streak against Pakistan in the World Cups as they cruised through to an 89-run win as per the DLS method. Rohit Sharma’s 140-run knock laid the platform for India to finish on 336/5 despite a poor finish. KL Rahul (57) and Virat Kohli (77) anchored while batting with Rohit. Pakistan’s chase was steadied by a century stand between Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam.

However, they lost four wickets in a space of 12 runs to lose hopes on the game. They were reeling at 166/6 in the 35th over when rain intervened the game. Pakistan got a revised target of 301 from 40 overs but could finish with only 212/6 despite scoring 46 runs in five overs after the break.
