Windies and Afghanistan will lock horns for the one last time in the World Cup 2019 before they head back to home. Afghanistan lost all the eight matches they played in the tournament and await for their first points. They had a great chance of beating both India and Pakistan but crumbled in the last moments. The Windies, on the other hand, beat Pakistan in the very first match but nothing to cheer since then. They will have a chance of finishing ahead of South Africa if they win this match.
Here we bring to you the Dream11 Fantasy team based on the stats of the players:
Wicket-Keeper:
Shai Hope has failed to live up to expectations with the bat in the tournament. In the previous five innings, Shai aggregated 118 runs which includes a 96-run knock against Bangladesh. Nicholas Pooran has been much better as he ever scored his maiden century in International cricket in the previous match against Sri Lanka. In the previous five innings, Pooran scored 235 runs and also scored a fifty against England.
Batsmen:
Sunil Ambris is in the best form with the ball among all players in this game. The opener scored 276 runs in his last five ODI innings which includes a 148-run knock during the Ireland Tri-Series. He made a decent start in this tournament scoring a 31 against India on his CWC debut. Shimron Hetmyer and Chris Gayle have got starts but failed to covert those. Afghanistan’s reliable batsman Rahmat Shah is also in the same fray having good starts but no big knock to help team’s cause.
All-rounders:
Afghanistan skipper Gulbadin Naib brought up some forgettable tactical moves in the tournament but that didn’t stop from making decent contributions. Naib scored 131 runs and has been opening the innings. He also bagged eight wickets despite going at an economy rate of 6.20. Despite been inconsistent with the bat, both Carlos Brathwaite and Mohammad Nabi claimed five wickets each despite only one fifty-plus score in their last five ODIs. Jason Holder has been inconsistent in both aspects and hence misses out.
Bowlers:
Sheldon Cottrell and Mujeeb Ur Rahman will be the first picks having claimed seven and six wickets respectively across their last five ODIs. The 3rd choice can be made between Dawlat Zadran and Shannon Gabriel. The Afghanistan pacer claimed seven wickets while Gabriel has six in their previous five outings. However, both are with a 50-50 chance of playing the final game of their teams. Rashid Khan has been poor as he picked only two wickets at an average of 147.5 in the previous five ODIs.
