ICC World Cup 2019: Mohammad Kaif is over the moon after meeting Katrina Kaif

Mohammad Kaif is regarded as one of India’s greatest fielders. He came into the limelight following his match-winning knock against England in the final of the Natwest Trophy against England. However, as time progressed, he couldn’t quite cement his position in the national team and was subsequently left out. He ended up playing 13 Tests and 125 ODIs in which he got 3,000 plus runs.

Having last played international cricket way back in 2006, he hung his boots from all forms of the sport last year. He last played first-class cricket for Chattisgarh back in November 2017. After bidding adieu to cricket, he has turned to the social media and is an active participant there. The 38-year-old veteran also takes up commentary from time to time and has done pretty decently thus far in the role.

Recently, he graced his presence in the studios of the World Cup. Prior to India’s match against South Africa at the Rose Bowl in Southampton, he had a chance to meet Katrina Kaif, the 35-year-old Bollywood actress. She came to the show along with popular actor Salman Khan in order to promote their movie ‘Bharat’, which got released in India on Wednesday across theatres.

Mohammad Kaif uploaded a picture with the Bollywood actress and expressed his joy over meeting the drop-dead gorgeous woman from the Indian film industry. Moreover, he captioned the picture and wrote, “Finally the Kaif’s meet. PS- As clarified earlier, abhi tak koi rishta nahi , except insaaniyat ka :),”

Any relation with Katrina Kaif?

Back in September 2018, the former Indian cricketer conducted a Question and Answer session on Twitter. During the interaction, a supporter asked Kaif whether he has any relation with Katrina since both share the same surname. “Sir are you related to Katrina Kaif? If not, then do you think there’s a chance in the future? ???? #AskKaif,” the fan wrote.

Kaif had a witty reply in the store and he countered the fan’s tweet cleverly. “Not related yet ???? Baaki, already happily married. But heard an interesting story of how Katrina got her surname Kaif, according to that story it has a connection with my name,” Kaif replied.
