Currently, Team India is the second best team in the world in terms of ICC rankings and is just behind the title favorites England. With best openers in their side alongside captain Kohli who himself is a one-man army, India have a very good batting unit. The only Achilles heel is the middle-order conundrum which has not been up to the mark in terms of performances lately.

The Men in Blue won every single ODI series they had been part of in the year 2018 with the only exception being the 2-1 loss to England. India carried forward the impressive form in the 50-overs format in 2019 with the demolition of Williamson’s team 4-1 in their home soil and thus winning every ODI series (except England) they have played outside India in the past year or so, which is a feat Kohli must be proud of.

Indian bowling attack, spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah, has a good mix of both swing and spin bowlers, which has the capability to take all ten opposition wickets. If India resolves it’s middle order batting vowes before the World Cup they are definitely going to be the toughest team to beat. The two time champions would be hoping to lift the cup for the third time at the same venue where they lifted it for the first time in 1983.
