Pakistan team always had a reputation to surprise the cricket fraternity with its unexpected performances. Pakistan team always had a reputation to surprise the cricket fraternity with its unexpected performances. The same is true for the current Pakistan team which is currently in the rebuilding phase following the retirement of many veterans. <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/sarfraz-ahmed-to-captain-pakistan-in-world-cup-2019-confirms-pcb/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sarfaraz Ahmed&#8217;s</a> team, on its day, can give an opposition a bombshell by performing exceptionally well and can also dishearten its fans on another day by giving the most dismaying performance.
The Men in Green&#8217;s strength lies in its bowling attack which can be lethal in seaming English conditions. They have a good spin bowling attack which might come handy in the mid overs. The team gave the glimpse of its potential in the Champions Trophy 2017  where they beat neighbors India in the final to lift the trophy. Also, in the recently concluded 50-overs series against South Africa, Sarfaraz and Co gave the hosts tough fight ultimately losing the five-match series 3-2.
The team just needs to regroup themselves and work hard on their batting, which has been the biggest concern for them in the past few years. Also, it is interesting to note here that <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/darren-sammy-asks-troll-abusing-pakistan-to-get-off-his-social-media-page/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pakistan</a> has always performed well in England: WC 1999 (Runners-up), T20 WC 2009 (Winners), ICC Champions Trophy 2017 (Winners). So, clearly, they are favorites to qualify for semi-finals of the World Cup 2019.

New Zealand team is always known to produce some of the best all-rounders the game of cricket has ever witnessed like Richard Hadlee, Chris Cairns etc. However, in the major tournaments like the World Cup, the team hasn&#8217;t been able to perform according to its reputation with the best being ending up as runners up in the last edition after playing few close matches against Australia (in group matches) and South Africa (in the semi-final).
But this time around the team led by the charismatic and determinant <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/new-zealand-vs-india-kane-williamson-backs-tim-southee-ahead-of-the-t20i-series/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kane Williamson</a> has every potential to make history by lifting the cup. Williamson&#8217;s team has a good mix of all-rounders, hard-hitting batsmen, quick bowlers, and an effective spin attack alongside the immortal bunch of excellent outfielders. However, the team needs to regroup and take more responsibility as they are highly dependent on veterans like Ross Taylor, Kane Williamson, and Trent Boult to perform well.
Even though the Black Caps had a disappointing start in 2019, losing ODI series 4-1 against the rampaging <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/indias-core-team-for-the-world-cup-has-been-finalised-msk-prasad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Indian</a> side, the team is high on confidence with the performance it showcased last year. The Kiwis have played a competitive brand of cricket in past year or so and earned a tag of being the favourites to reach the semi-finals in cricket&#8217;s biggest stage World Cup in 2019.
