ICC World Cup 2019, Tournament Contest: Round 6 – Official Classic Fantasy Cricket Tips

The England weather for once didn’t spoil the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 official fantasy as all the four matches in the 5th round had at least 90 overs of play. The game between India and Pakistan lost ten overs of 2nd innings while the clash of New Zealand and South Africa was a 49 overs-a-side. The weather seems to have settled down as the next five games in the tournament are not expected to be under rain threat.

Round 6 schedule – The 6th round comprises of the five games (Match 26 to Match 30) of the tournament. All ten teams play one game apiece during this round.

Wicket-Keepers:

Suggestions – Shai Hope, Kusal Perera

Shai Hope will be playing in Manchester which has produced two high-scoring games. Kusal Perera will be up against England in Leeds. The tracks laid for the games involving England have been quite high-scoring. Kusal’s intent could help him to get some quick runs with the new ball.

Batsmen:

There are two potentially high-scoring fixtures in this round – England vs Sri Lanka in Leeds and Windies vs New Zealand in Manchester. Picking at least four players from either of the two games will be useful for Super Fours free-hit option. The Bangladesh-Australia game in Nottingham also could produce runs depending on the track used for the game. David Warner can be picked from this game as the Bangladesh attack could hardly have a chance of stopping the opener from making a big one.

All-Rounders:

With 384 runs across four innings in the tournament, Shakib Al Hasan stands as the leading run-getter. He has notched fifty-plus scores in all four innings and will take the field against Australia after back to back tons. Shakib also bagged five wickets in the four games and could pull out another big knock with a favourable short square boundary at Trent Bridge. Afghanistan skipper Gulbadin Naib could come handy if Bowling Machine option is used. Naib has kept picking up wickets despite some really ordinary bowling.

Bowlers:

Suggestions – Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Rashid Khan

Alternatives – Dawlat Zadran, Jofra Archer, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc

The game between India and Afghanistan only seems to be an option for using Bowling Machine in this round. The match will be hosted by Southampton where the boundaries are huge and something is on offer for bowlers in this tournament. One among Bumrah and Shami based on prices and the spin duo of Chahal-Kuldeep will be first picks. Rashid Khan has had some bad time going around but he did dominate most of the present Indian batsmen during the IPL which will boost his confidence.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

David Warner and Shakib Al Hasan are the two names who can be made as captain for using the Star Skipper. If Warner is picked as captain, Shakib can be considered as vice-captain. If Shakib is chosen as captain, one of Joe Root or Ross Taylor can be made vice-captain. Root has been performing with both bat and ball while Taylor has a good record against the Windies and is yet to deliver a big knock in this tournament.
