<p>The impending World Cup will provide all the teams with a great set of challenges to deal with. Heading into such a massive tournament will not be easy and there will be a lot of pressure on the players. However, all the teams will be prepared mentally to deal with it and the players will look to give their best.</p>
<p>While each of the teams looks strong in their own respect, a weak link is bound to be found. Given their reputation or the talent they possess, the teams have been forced to play some players in the eleven. However, they haven&#8217;t repaid the faith completely and still remain to be a weak link in the side.</p>
<h3>Here is the weakest player of each team ahead of World Cup 2019:</h3>
<h3>1. Devendra Bishoo | Windies</h3>

<p>It is important to have a good quality spinner in the squad heading into the World Cup. The spinner will help keep things in control in the middle-overs and will also help in maintaining the over rate. However, the Windies team has struggled to find one over the last few years.</p>
<p>Due to the lack of options, they resorted to Devendra Bishoo but hardly found encouraging results. The leg-spinner has been around since 2011 but only managed to pick up 37 wickets in 37 games. He leaks a lot of runs at times and ends up being a burden to the team.</p>
<h3>2. Upul Tharanga | Sri Lanka</h3>

<p>Upul Tharanga is one of the most experienced players in the Sri Lankan line-up. The left-hander has been around since 2005 and featured in 232 ODI games. With close to 7,000 runs in the 50-over format, Tharanga was expected to play a big role during the transition phase of Sri Lanka.</p>
<p>However, he himself is struggling with his form and fitness in recent times. The 34-year-old hasn&#8217;t contributed anything significant with the bat over the last year. Since the start of 2018, Tharanga only managed to score 304 runs in 14 games at an average of 25. His strike rate is not pleasing either.</p>
<h3>3. Liton Das | Bangladesh</h3>

<p>With Mushfiqur Rahim having a few fitness issues, the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/bangladesh-pacer-robiul-islam-retires-from-all-formats-of-the-game/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Bangladesh</strong></a> board might not want to take any chances with him. Thus, Rahim might not keep wickets in the upcoming tournament. This will mean that Liton Das will have to fill in the shoes of Rahim.</p>
<p>However, his batting form has been a concern for quite some time now. Das has had his own share of brilliance but often struggles with his consistency. Despite playing 27 ODIs, he only averages 19 and had a pathetic start to 2019. In the first three games of the year, Liton Das only managed to score 3 runs while playing in tough New Zealand conditions.</p>
<h3>4. Colin Munro | New Zealand</h3>

<p>The New Zealand team will be one of the strongest contenders in the World Cup 2019. The team has got no dearth of some terrific players who can change the complexion of the game within a matter of time. While Colin Munro is one of those players, his performances in the 50-over format haven&#8217;t been really encouraging.</p>
<p>Munro&#8217;s shortcomings to adapt to a comparatively longer format have been evident in the last few months. He struggled in the home series against India in 2019 and his position in the team is also in jeopardy. In 51 ODIs thus far, the left-hander only managed to score 1,146 runs at an average of 25.</p>
<h3>5. Najibullah Zadran | Afghanistan</h3>

<p>Najibullah Zadran is quite a capable performer with the bat. He bats in the middle-order for <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/afghanistan-to-host-ireland-in-a-home-test/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Afghanistan</strong></a> and also bowls part-time off-spin. While he has been one of the most consistent performers in domestic cricket, he failed to replicate the success in international cricket.</p>
<p>On most of the occasions, Zadran throws his wicket away after getting to a good start, at a crucial juncture in the game putting the other batsmen under pressure. In 50 ODIs, he scored 1,077 runs at an average of 27 and registered 8 half-centuries. He needs to work on converting the starts into substantial scores.</p>
<h3>6. Adil Rashid | England</h3>

<p>Adil Rashid is a great performer for England in 50-over cricket. While he is a strength to the side, he also ends up being a burden at times. The leg-spinner tends to give away a lot runs at times and struggles with the consistency factor.</p>
<p>Even though he has got the knack of picking up regular wickets, his economy rate is slightly on the highest side. While this is a slight matter of concern, a strong English batting line-up makes up for this weakness. Thus, the side has found immense success together as a team.</p>
<h3>7. Mohammad Amir | Pakistan</h3>

<p>In recent times, ace Pakistani pacer <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20-blast-2019-mohammad-amir-rejoins-essex-for-the-upcoming-season/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Mohammad Amir</strong></a> is ending up being a burden to the team as well as the management. His performances haven&#8217;t been extremely satisfactory and he has struggled to pick up wickets. At one point in time, he was also dropped from the side owing to a string of poor performances.</p>
<p>Since the beginning of 2018, Mohammad Amir played a total of 13 ODIs for the team. But he only managed to pick up five wickets at an average of 80. Three of these scalps came in 10 games last year. With this kind of performances, he sure seems to be a weak link in the Pakistan side at the moment.</p>
<h3>8. Hashim Amla | South Africa</h3>

<p>The form of Hashim Amla has been the biggest concern for South Africa. The right-hander is struggling to pile up the runs and has let the team down on many occasions. Once a highly consistent performer for the Proteas, Hashim Amla&#8217;s numbers have witnessed a rapid decline in recent times.</p>
<p>In the last 16 games that he played since the start of 2018, Amla only scored 529 runs at an average of 35. However, the alarming fact is that 238 of these runs, about half of what he scored, came in just three innings. His career average also has gone down below 50 currently and he is adding a lot of pressure on the team.</p>
<h3>9. Alex Carey | Australia</h3>

<p>Unless Australia decides to resort back to Matthew Wade for the World Cup, Alex Carey is most likely to be their wicket-keeper. The left-hander has been highly successful in the Big Bash League (BBL) and was one of the leading run-scorers in the last two seasons. The 27-year-old is a big hitter of the cricket ball and is capable of scoring runs very quickly.</p>
<p>However, his performances at the highest level haven&#8217;t been as convincing. Carey made his ODI debut in January 2018 and featured in 9 ODIs for the team thus far. But, he only managed to score 246 runs at an average of 27 and a strike rate of 76. Pretty much against his reputation, he only hit two sixes in ODIs thus far in his career and is yet to register a fifty-plus score.</p>
<h3>10. Kedar Jadhav | India</h3>

<p>India has got a great record in ODI cricket when Kedar Jadhav plays. He is regarded as the &#8216;golden boy&#8217; or the &#8216;golden arm&#8217; in the India circle. Jadhav is exceptional with the ball and picks up a wicket every time he&#8217;s given the ball. Looking at the current Indian team, Jadhav seems to be a slightly weak link even though he is a good player.</p>
<p>His batting performances aren&#8217;t at par with his domestic record. Jadhav scored 1,002 runs in 35 ODI innings at an average of 44 and strike rate of 107. He was unbeaten on 12 occasions and registered four fifties and two hundreds. Even though he can finish the innings well, he isn&#8217;t someone who can single-handedly build an innings. Two of his remarkable performances came when he had Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni at the other end. There are still a few questions surrounding his ability.</p>
