West Indies emerged as the champions of World T20 2016 after they successfully chased down the target of 156 runs which was set by England while batting first in the final match at Kolkata, in which Marlon Samuels was named as Man of the Match for his match winning knock while Virat Kohli was named as Player of the Series for his consistency in batting throughout the tournament.
