Imad Wasim retained by Jamaica Tallawahs for CPL 2018
Wasim played five games for Tallawahs last season
English born Pakistan cricketer Imad Wasim has taken great strides ever since his foray in international cricket. Born in Swansea, Wasim received the offer to play for the Pakistan Under-19 team and since then there has been no looking back. The 29-year-old has shown immense potential and evolved into a spearhead in Pakistan’s bowling attack.
Wasim has successfully plied his trade in the shorter format as well. He has been a globetrotter playing for various T20 franchises, that has helped him grow and prosper. And ahead of the upcoming season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), the Pakistani was retained by the Jamaica Tallawahs franchise. With two CPL trophies, the Tallawahs are the most successful team in the league alongside Trinbago Knight Riders who have won as many titles.
Imad Wasim played five games for Tallawahs last season before being recalled by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to undergo fitness testing. During his stay, the speedster had picked up four wickets in the 17 overs he bowled in five matches, at an impressive economy rate of 5.35. He will be joining countryman Shahid Afridi in the Tallawahs setup and looks excited with the prospect.
Upbeat on his retention, the Karachi Kings skipper took to Twitter to express his excitement. Wasim wrote, “Glad to be retained by @JAMTallawahs alongside with @SAfridiOfficial its gonna be alot of fun #Biggestpartyinsport.”

Karachi Kings’ campaign in PSL 2018 so far
Imad Wasim has marshaled his troops extremely well in the ongoing third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Karachi Kings, till now have looked the best team in the league. The Imad Wasim-led team has won all three of their match played so far and currently sit on the top of the table with 6 points. Though there is still a long way to go, performances of this stature will surely stronghold Karachi’s maiden claim on the coveted PSL title.
