Imran Tahir's tweet for Virat Kohli after Durban ODI is winning the social media

Team India skipper Virat Kohli proved all his critics wrong with a thundering show in Durban. Over the last few months, there had been so many claims of Kohli being a home track bully. The Indian captain hit his 33rd ODI ton to help India end the Durban jinx. His ton guided India to their first ever win at the venue. The fans and the pundits went gaga about the knock. Among the many admirers was South Africa’s Imran Tahir.

Imran Tahir was in the fielding eleven of the South African side in the match. He witnessed a master in action and how Kohli helped India script a historic win. Needless to concede, he was overawed by the way Kohli marshaled the run chase. He has rightly earned the tag of being the greatest chase master in the history of the game.

Perhaps this is the reason why even former English skipper hailed Kohli as the greatest chaser ever. While the Indian wrist spinners were highly effective in the game, South Africa’s premier spinner Imran Tahir had a troubled time in the match. Well, there was nothing much that Tahir could have done about it though.

He was up against the best in the business at a time when the master was in prime form. He looked impressed with the knock and that was evident by the way he showed a sweet gesture of congratulating Kohli after the latter’s dismissal. After the game, Tahir went on to tweet a picture of the same and called it an absolute honor to play against Virat Kohli.
