Imrul Kayes sets wicketkeeping record as Mushfiqur Rahim fine after blow

Imrul Kayes has set a world record for being the only substitute wicketkeeper to complete five catches in the first Test match against New Zealand at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. In spite of the fact that Kayes went ahead and lost the encounter by being in front, for the most part, something that will certainly be a demoralizing aspect of the ordeal.

Kayes had interestingly been injured in the second innings whilst batting when the ball had struck his hip. He would come out to bat after being stretchered off as well as amassing 12 runs after his injury and being barely able to walk as well.

However, it was only later on in the day that the hospital confirmed that Mushfiqur was indeed fine as well. However, by the time his fitness was confirmed by the medical staff, Bangladesh had already conceded the innings and set a target of 217.

While inching towards the 217, Imrul Kayes deputized behind the stumps for the skipper and set the record as well. New Zealand claimed a 6-wicket win at the end of it all.
