India is up against New Zealand in the World Test Championship Final at Ageas Bowl, Southampton. However, fans and players are not having a great time as rain has been spoiling most of the fun. The day one of WTC Final got washed off and now the 4th day has been observing a delay due to persistent rain and bad light. The 2nd and 3rd day saw good action and the latter one was dominated by the Kiwis.

As New Zealand pacers dominated the Indian batting set up on the 3rd day, fans awaited good action and India’s comeback on day 4. In the same light, former spinner Harbhajan Singh also backed India to stage a great comeback on the fourth day of the marquee event. However, as he talked about India’s comeback, fans mocked him adding that the first rain has to stop for the game to begin.

“Team India had a bad day yesterday on the field. good thing is it’s past now..backing Team India to be at their best today to win all 3 sessions.. it is POSSIBLE.. do it boys @BCCI game on #ICCWTCFinal #INDvsNZ,” said Harbhajan Singh in his tweets.

However, as soon as he made this tweet, fans started talking about bad weather and rains at Southampton. It has to be noted that many are expecting that result of the game might not come out owing to consistent delay in action even though the reserve day has been kept in view.

India vs New Zealand so far

Talking about the match so far, India’s batting show got wrapped up on merely 217 runs as the tail-enders gave a below-par performance. Not even one batsman was able to breach the 50-run mark as Virat Kohli and Ajinkya went back after adding 44 and 49 runs respectively. Even Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant couldn’t add any good to the scoreboard.

Kyle Jamieson became the pick of the bowlers as he bagged a classy fifer. In return, when Kiwis started to bat, Indian pacers couldn’t stage a magical show and could pick only two wickets.
