IND vs NZ: Here are the revised session timings for Day 1 of 2nd Test at Wankhede

A total of 78 overs will be bowled in the day.

A wet outfield has delayed the start of the 2nd Test match between India and New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. And, the revised timings for the 2nd Test have been announced.

The toss will take place at 11:30 AM, and play will commence at 12:00 PM. The first session of the Day will be played from 12:00 PM and will last for 2 hours and 40 mins. Players will take a 20-minute Tea break between 2:40 PM and 3 PM.

And, the second and final session of the day will commence at 03:00 PM, and play will go on till 05:30 PM. Also, a total of 78 overs will be bowled in the Day.

India and New Zealand hit by injuries ahead of 2nd Test

Also, both the Indian as well as the New Zealand camps have been hit by injuries. For India, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, and pacer Ishant Sharma have all been ruled out of the 2nd Test.

While Rahane is suffering from a hamstring injury, Jadeja has been ruled out due to a swelling in his right forearm. Also, Ishant Sharma will not take the field due to an injury to his finger.

The New Zealand camp also suffered a body blow as their skipper and batting talisman Kane Williamson will not take the field as he is suffering from a left elbow problem. Batter Tom Latham will be the stand-in-skipper of the Kiwis for this match.

The series between these two sides is currently locked at 0-0 after the 1st Test match at Kanpur ended in a draw. Shreyas Iyer won the Player of the Match award in the 1st Test for scoring a total of 170 runs in the match.

Meanwhile, here are the revised timings for the 2nd Test

Session 1: 12:00 PM to 02:40 PM

Tea Break: 02:40 PM to 03:00 PM

Session 2: 03:00 PM to 05:30 PM
