IND vs NZ: Ravi Ashwin gifts signed Indian Test jersey to Ajaz Patel for his 'Perfect 10' feat

The memories of the 2nd Test match between India and New Zealand will linger in the mind of Ajaz Patel for a long time. The Kiwi left-arm spinner became just the third bowler in the history of Test match cricket to take a ‘Perfect 10’.
Ajaz gave away 119 runs in the first innings of the second Test and gobbled up all 10 Indian batters. And, he is just the third bowler in the 14-decade history of Test match cricket to accomplish this special feat after Jim Laker and Anil Kumble.
And, after the match, Patel was gifted a signed Indian Test jersey by Indian spin bowling legend Ravichandran Ashwin. In fact, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a few pictures on their official Twitter handle regarding this. Ashwin is even seen hugging Patel and congratulated him on his stupendous achievement.

New Zealand ends up on the losing side in spite of Ajaz Patel’s heroics
However, the New Zealand side was thrashed by the Indian side by a massive margin of 372 runs in the 2nd Test match. The Kiwis were outplayed by Virat Kohli and his men in every department of the game, as the match ended on the morning of the 4th day.
Apart from scalping 10 wickets in the 1st innings, Patel picked up 4 batters in the second innings as well and finished the match with a haul of 14 scalps. India’s opening batter Mayank Agarwal won the Player of the Match award for scoring a century and a half-century in the match and paving the way for a crushing Indian win.
Earlier, Indian cricket legend Anil Kumble had also taken to Twitter and congratulated Ajaz Patel on his bowling heroics.
