The second Test match of the series is currently up in Mumbai between New Zealand and India. During the third day of the match, Virat Kohli’s reaction caught a lot of attention after getting dismissed by Rachin Ravindra. Ravindra place a short wide delivery which couldn’t get timed well by Kohli and it took the off stumps of the skipper.
However, Kohli was totally amused by it and could be seen passing a little smile with his tongue out. Though the Indian skipper went back after scoring zero in the first innings, he was sent back this time after scoring 36 runs off 84 balls. The knock couldn’t help him break the string of low scores off late.
Kohli is struggling to score a century for two years and his last one came in 2019 against Bangladesh. However, it remains to be seen when the skipper will be able to return to his usual ways.

Talking about Rachin, he was crucial in New Zealand pulling off a draw in the last game at Kanpur. He shared an unbeaten stand in the last game and didn’t fear Indian bowlers in front for the last day. Talking of this particular game, Mayank Agarwal gave a dreamy start to India by playing a stunning knock of 150 runs. Ajaz Patel became the pick of the bowler by clinching all the 10 wickets under his belt.
Patel became the third bowler to pull off this feat after Jim Laker and Anil Kumble. However, both of them did on their home soil while Patel became the first bowler to achieve the feat on away soil. Patel’s heroics weren’t reciprocated by his team as they got wrapped up on just 62 runs.
India didn’t enforce the follow-on and kept playing while registering a lead of more than 500 runs. Currently, NZ are on the crease and playing on 63 runs by losing three wickets (at the time of writing). It remains to be seen if India will be able to win the series from here on.
