After getting off to a poor start with the bat, team India’s innings was stabilized by skipper Rohit Sharma and former Indian skipper Virat Kohli as the duo stitched a vital 49-run partnership to put their team back into the game. While Kohli looked more proactive in his innings, skipper Rohit played the second fiddle.

Meanwhile, Rohit was floored after being hit by Kohli right after the field restrictions got over. Facing spinner Shadab Khan, Kohli drilled an overpitched delivery straight back as the ball hit Rohit at the non-striker’s end who somehow managed to deviate the ball with his hand.

Skipper Rohit completed the single after being hit

Despite being hit by the ball, Rohit quickly got up and completed the single. The right-handed batter was also seen wearing a smile on his face as he rushed towards the striker’s end while the ball was being picked up by the long-on fielder. The video is being widely shared on social media platforms.

Here’s the video:

Meanwhile, both Rohit and Kohli went back to the pavilion after being scalped by finger spinner Mohammad Nawaz. Rohit smacked Nawaz for a huge maximum, but was scalped by him in the same over. Similarly, Kohli gave a pretty simple catch at long-off on the bowling of Nawaz as the left-arm spinner scalped two wickets in his two balls.

Earlier in the innings, the Men in Blue restricted Pakistan to just 147/10 in 19.5 overs. Senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar scalped four crucial wickets for his side. Similarly, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya also took three wickets for his team. The left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh took two wickets, while express pacer Avesh Khan got the wicket of Fakhar Zaman.

For Pakistan, skipper Babar Azam failed to capitalize on his start, but Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed played some crucial knocks for the Men in Green as they finished on 147 runs before getting all-out in 19.5 overs. Team India gave away just five extras in their bowling performance.
