Rohit Sharma’s first assignment in Tests at Mohali
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma who led India to a dominating limited-overs series victory against West Indies and Sri Lanka recently will be leading the country for the first time in the longest format. The right-hander was appointed the full-time captain a few weeks before and he will have a huge responsibility on his shoulders replacing India’s most successful Test captain, Virat Kohli. India has dropped the experienced hands of Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ishant Sharma, and Wriddhiman Saha for the series considering their low outputs in recent times.
