The 2nd T20I of the three-match series took place at Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh where Rohit Sharma once again got the toss in his favor to make out the call. The visiting side posted a challenging total of 183 runs which was carried on the shoulders of Pathum Nissanka’s stunning innings (75 off 53).

However, when the Men in Blue were up in their chase and were having a fun time in the middle, there came up a stunning catch for all to behold. Shreyas Iyer already seemed set after his well-made fifty and Sanju Samson was also hitting bowlers for fun. However, Samson after collecting 39 runs under his belt, was trapped by Lahiru Kumara where Binura Fernando pulled off a stunner.

The 6 ft 7 inches Fernando at short third man grabbed a stunning catch which took Samson’s edge in the 13th over. As soon as the catch got completed, the clip of the same went viral on social media. The fans and experts were of the belief that had it not been for Fernando’s tremendous height, the catch would have been impossible.

Talking of the match, the visiting posted a fine total on the board and the Indian openers couldn’t make much of their time as both Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan left early. However, the real deal kicked off for India when Shreyas Iyer pitched in with fabulous innings. While sending bowlers to cleaners, he collected his half-century in no time and got great support from the other end from Samson.

Iyer is currently playing at 69 runs off 40 balls (at the time of writing this article). Talking of the bowling performance from India’s end, Jasprit Bumrah remained economical while conceding 24 runs in his four overs whereas Harshal Patel remained costly on the day. It remains to be seen if India will be able to seal the match and the series ultimately in Dharamsala.
