Sri Lankan pace bowler Suranga Lakmal is playing his final Test match for the Sri Lankan side in the city of Bangalore. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have released a video on their official Twitter handle that shows Indian coach Rahul Dravid and cricket legend Virat Kohli congratulating the right-arm pacer.
“Head Coach Rahul Dravid and former Team India Captain Virat Kohli congratulate Suranga Lakmal as he is all set to bid adieu to international cricket,” read the tweet from the official Twitter handle of BCCI. The video has a duration of 13 seconds, and at the time of writing this piece, has garnered over 15000 likes on Twitter.
Talking about Lakmal, the veteran right-arm pacer has represented Sri Lanka in 70 Test matches and has scalped 171 wickets. In fact, Lakmal is the fourth-highest wicket-taker for the Sri Lankan side in the longest format of the game. In a Test career that has lasted more than a decade, Lakmal has taken four five-wicket hauls. In his final Test for the Sri Lankan side, Lakmal could get only a solitary wicket in both innings put together.

India exert their domination over Sri Lanka in Bangalore
The Indian side dished out another dominating performance in the second Test match against the Sri Lankan side in Bangalore. India posted a total of 252 in their first innings, and Sri Lanka were skittled out for a paltry 109, with Jasprit Bumrah scalping a five-wicket haul.
In the second essay, the Rohit Sharma-led outfit declared with their scorecard reading 303/9, and set Sri Lanka an improbable target of 447 for victory. Shreyas Iyer top-scored for India in the second innings with a composed 67. The visitors ended the second day with their scorecard reading 28/1.
