India-Australia matches are more intense than India-Pakistan ties, says Varun Aaron
"We have a much better team than Pakistan," Aaron said.
The India-Pakistan cricketing rivalry is as greatest as any rivalry in the sporting world. With the political and historical background of the two countries and the amount of talent they have produced, the Men in Blue and the Men in Green have always had heated confrontations on cricket field whenever they have played.
However, India fast bowler Varun Aaron differs in opinion, as he thinks India has a better rivalry with the men from Down Under if you take the intensity into the account. He, however, maintained that the rivalry between the Asian super-giants is always a big attraction whenever the two-team play.
India-Australia matches are almost outdoing the intensity of India-Pakistan matches
“We have a much better team than Pakistan, there is no reason why we shouldn’t win the match against Pakistan. I feel India has developed a fierce rivalry with Australia off late and the intensity of India-Australia matches are almost outdoing the intensity of India-Pakistan matches. The rivalry between India and Pakistan will always be there, but the match to look out for will be the India-Australia one,” Varun was quoted as saying by timesnownews.com.
Recently, India defeated Australia for the first time in a bilateral series (2-1) down under and the Aussies then returned the favour, winning their first bilateral series (3-2) in India since 2009. Virat Kohli & Co. also registered their first ever Test series win over Australia down under too. The two teams are slated to meet in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019 on June 9, at Kennington Oval, London.
Varun Aaron currently in plying his trade for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2019 and the team will face Delhi Capitals next in Delhi and given their position in points table (4), are still hopeful of playoffs qualification.
