Nevertheless, the 34-year-old batter has been a consistent performer for India over the past decade.

Rohit Sharma has amassed 3313 runs in 125 matches, at an average of 32.17, and a strike rate of around 140. The opener will not only look to find back his form but also make sure that the preparations for India’s World Cup campaign begin on the right note. Rohit should ideally be opening the batting with his regular partner, KL Rahul, who has been in terrific form in IPL 2022.
