India and Sri Lanka have shared a deep bond in cricket and the number of times they face each other annually is a sublime proof of it. While West Indies pulled out of a tour in 2014, BCCI immediately arranged a 5-match ODI series to which the Sri Lankan team gracefully accepted. In return, India toured the Island nation for a 3-match Test series in August last year.

The cricketing pals, India and Sri Lanka are all set to lock horns with each other again next month. This time, for a 3-match Twenty20 International series, which would closely be followed by the Asia Cup also to be played in the T20 format. The defending champions Sri Lanka would be looking to gain some good practice before they come here back for the WT20. India would be glad to have a fair bit of T20 matches and also be looking to avenge their WT20 finals defeat to them in 2014.
