India tour of Windies: 5 players India need to watch out for

India has just been handed a humiliating defeat by their neighbors Pakistan. They were the favorites to win the tournament but Pakistan had other things in mind. However, they have to put that defeat behind as they will be starting a new series in the Caribbean. This will be a test for the Indian team as they will have to get over that defeat and get used to the conditions there. The team of Windies is not the best as it used to be but it is a young and dynamic team. They will have to be wary of such a squad as some of the players are truly dangerous. There are a few match-winners in their squad and have done a lot for them in the past. There are some new players and the world knows not much about them. Let us know about some of the match-winners in the squad that India need to look out for. #1 Alzarri Joseph Alzarri Joseph. He has won the Under-19 World Cup and has earned a lot of praise from legendary fast bowlers. Windies have a great future as this 20-year-old is a fantastic bowler and has caught the limelight for his sheer pace. He is still new to international cricket and is just 8 games old. He has already picked up 12 wickets and in those conditions, he will surely trouble the Indian batters. His four-for against England was enough to know what talent this young man possesses. India surely needs to be wary of this young man. #2 Ashley Nurse Ashley Nurse. An attacking off-spinner with some good skills is always an asset for the captain. This 28-year-old is not just a bowler but also knows how to hit the ball hard. He has a good defense and can hold the fort if needed. Nurse played some important innings with the bat against Pakistan. He has 24 wickets already in his 12 games and averages 24 balls per wicket which is great for a newcomer. It will be interesting to see how India handle this threat of Windies. #3 Jonathan Carter Jonathan Carter of the West Indies. Carter is a number six batter and bats well compared to rest of the number sixes in the world. He was a prolific run-scorer in the domestic circuit but his inability to take forward fast starts has seen him slip down the order. Carter is someone who can turn the heat in a moment and can hold the innings if required. Carter has learned over the years and has 3 half centuries to his name. The Windies would like him to take his innings forward and convert into centuries. #4 Rovman Powell Rovman Powell. He is an instinctive player which works in his favor more often than not. He is more a hit than miss when it comes to number 7 batters. Powell has the talent to bat higher up the order and can do an amazing job if asked to bat higher up. He is not known for his bowling and has played just 5 ODI games until now with a highest of 44. This will be a test for him playing against the mighty Indians. However, even Indians have to know him and will have to be ready for an unknown challenge. #5 Jason Mohammed Jason Mohammed. His innings of 91 against Pakistan to win the game was one of the best by a West Indian. All the chips were down but this man kept on going and won the game for his team while chasing 309. Mohammed is new to international cricket like most of his colleagues and is just 10 innings old. He has already scored 300 runs at an average of 33. With 91 being his highest, he will be looking to score some centuries against the Indians. This tour will test him and he will be up for a challenge for sure.
