Mitchell Santner’s was terrific during the World T20 earlier this year in India. His exceptional tally of 10 wickets from 5 matches during the multinational tournament which included his match- winning spell of 4/11 against India was the main talking point of the tournament.

This prelude made everyone be wary of the young left-arm spinners ahead of the Test series. Unfortunately, he could create an impact and ended up with 10 wickets in 3 matches as compared to the 27 wickets of Ashwin and 14 wickets of Jadeja.

But, his threat cannot be written off due to below – par shows during the test series. The pitches will most likely be similar to the ones which were laid out during the World T20 and one can surely expect him to give some match winning performance.
