He has been identified as Pankaj Shaw.
Shaw was seen taking the drinks for the Indian team players during India’s first innings. Later, he was again seen doing the duties of the 12th man when the visitors were batting. Many wondered who the young kid was. But here is the mystery decoded. Pankaj Shaw is an Indian First Class cricketer who has been plying his trade for the team Bengal in the domestic circuit.
The 29-year-old cricketer was born in Gopalpur, Bengal and has represented his state in 12 First Class matches thus far. He had made his FC debut last year in the Ranji Trophy fixture against Rajasthan at Kolkata. His last First Class appearance came against team Baroda in the previous edition of the Ranji Trophy.

He has earlier represented Bengal in the U19 and the U22 levels as well. Shaw’s moment of fame had come last year when he had cracked 413 in a club game in the Bengal First Division Tournament. His monumental effort had come for the Barisha Sporting against the Dakshin Kalikata. He hit 44 fours and 23 sixes in his knock.

Meanwhile, talking about the on-field actions, the match seems to be taking some unusual turns. After India scored 172 in their first innings, the visitors responded with 294 in their first innings.
