India v Sri Lanka T20I series, 2017 – Approaching milestones

The huge scores from Indian captains were the highlights during the Test series and ODI series in Sri Lanka’s tour of India and few more individual performances could be seen coming in the T20I series as well. Both the sides are filled up with the players making their baby steps at the International level while the seniors will be looking towards reaching new milestones in International and professional cricket during this T20I series.

All the approaching milestones for the players ahead of the India-Sri Lanka T20I series:

96 – Number of wickets for Jasprit Bumrah in International cricket so far. He needs four more wickets to complete 100 wickets across the three formats for India. Bumrah has bagged 56 wickets in ODI cricket and 40 in the T20I format so far.

98 – Nuwan Pradeep has picked up 98 wickets in International cricket so far. He needs two more wickets for completing 100 wickets in International cricket. Pradeep bagged 70 wickets in Test cricket and 28 wickets in ODIs but no wickets in the two T20Is he played so far.

247 – Rohit Sharma’s sixes in International cricket so far. He needs three more sixes to become the 3rd player after MS Dhoni (327) and Sachin Tendulkar (264) to hit 250 sixes for India in Internationals.

197 – Number of dismissals MS Dhoni affected in his Twenty20 career so far. He needs three more dismissals to become the 2nd wicketkeeper with 200 T20 dismissals after Kamran Akmal (207). Dhoni made 66 stumpings and took 131 catches as a keeper in this format so far. As a fielder too, Dhoni pouched five catches.

194 – Thisara Perera has picked up 194 wickets in his International career so far. He needs six more wickets for becoming the 10th Sri Lankan to take 200 International wickets. Six of Perera’s 194 wickets came in the recent T20I series against Pakistan for World XI.

1980 – KL Rahul has scored 1980 runs in International cricket so far. He needs 20 more runs to complete 2000 runs across formats at the International level. Rahul scored 1428 runs in Tests, 248 runs in ODI cricket and 304 runs in the T20I format so far.

15881 – MS Dhoni scored 15881 runs in his International career for India so far. He needs 119 more runs for becoming the 6th player with 16000 International runs for India. Dhoni scored 16053 runs in Internationals including 174 runs for Asia XI.
