The Indian cricket team completed a clean sweep in the two-match Test series against the Windies. They won the second Test against the visitors by a comprehensive margin of 10 wickets on the third day. Thus both the Test matches collectively lasted for about five days. Umesh Yadav was one of the best performers in the 2nd Test in Hyderabad. The right-arm quick picked up a 10-wicket haul in the match.
In the process, he became just the third Indian bowler to achieve this feat at home. The 30-year-old followed his 6-wicket haul in the first innings with a 4-wicket haul in the second. India’s limited-overs vice-captain, Rohit Sharma thoroughly enjoyed the act from Yadav and took it to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to heap praises on him.
Rohit calls Umesh Yadav ‘Ninja’
In his tweet, Rohit wrote that it was a special effort from Umesh to get his maiden ten-wicket haul. He also added that it isn’t easy to achieve such a feat while playing in India for a fast bowler. He gave the pacer a thumbs up and wrote, “well done”. In the hashtag, Sharma called the pacer ‘Ninja’. This could be possibly due to the man-bun that he has been sporting in the last few months.
“Special effort that by @y_umesh for his maiden ten wicket haul. Not that easy in India for a fast bowler. Well done #Ninja,” the 31-year-old Mumbaikar tweeted.

Rohit recently led India to triumph in the Asia Cup in the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli. However, he was ignored for the Test series against the Windies. He is currently playing the knockout games in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018 season for his home side Mumbai. Rohit is a part of the squad announced for the first two ODIs against the Windies and is expected to join the side soon. The ODI series begins on October 21, 2018, at Guwahati.
