The first T20I didn’t go as expected for India as Australia took 1-0 lead in the 2-match series by chasing down the target on the final delivery. India’s middle-order problems continued as they lost their way from 69/1 in the 9th over to 126/7 in 20 overs. The hosts could take the positives from the game with respect to their bowling as they put themselves into a winning position from a stage where the Aussies were not so far from winning the game by an 8-wicket margin.

7 – The defeat in the last game was India’s first T20I loss at home in eight matches. They defeated Sri Lanka and Windies 3-0 in 2017 and 2018 respectively under Rohit Sharma.
11 – Rohit Sharma’s batting average in his previous six T20I innings against Australia. Rohit has scored 66 runs with the best score of 23 since his back to back fifties in Australia against the Aussies in 2016.
49 – Number of wickets Yuzvendra Chahal has bagged in the Twenty20 format at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Among Indians, only Amit Mishra (67 wickets at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi) and Harbhajan Singh (53 wickets at Wankhede, Mumbai) have bagged 50 T20 wickets at a venue.
50 – Shikhar Dhawan could be featuring in his 50th T20I at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. He was rested during the first T20I in Vizag.
50 – MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli have hit 49 and 48 sixes respectively in the T20I format. Only Rohit Sharma (102), Yuvraj Singh (74) and Suresh Raina (58) have hit 50 and more T20I sixes for India thus far.
102 – Number of sixes Rohit Sharma has hit in his T20I career. He needs to hit two more sixes to become the most prolific six-hitter in the T20I format surpassing 103 sixes by Chris Gayle and Martin Guptill.
300 – If Rohit Sharma features in the Bangalore T20I, he will become the 3rd Indian to feature in 300 Twenty20 matches. MS Dhoni became the first Indian to feature in 300 T20s during the T20I series-decider in New Zealand this month.
Suresh Raina was the 2nd Indian which he completed by featuring for Uttar Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy on Monday.
349 – Both Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni are currently tied on 349 sixes in International cricket. Whoever among the both will hit a six next will be the first Indian to hit 350 International sixes. Dhoni’s tally of 349 includes seven sixes for Asia XI. Only four players across the globe have hit more sixes than these two players thus far.
2016 – The last instance of India losing back to back matches in T20I format was back in 2016 when they lost to Windies in the WT20 semis and against Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe. India lost to New Zealand in Hamilton before this series against Australia.
