Umesh Yadav is a bowler who is tailor-made for the Test format. He can produce those “unplayable” balls and get the breakthrough for the team. Adding on, he has been with the team for many years. Hence, if the management is looking for a quick bowler who can assist Ishant, Yadav can be a good pick.

Yadav has played in 48 matches so far. And in those 48 matches, he has picked 148 wickets with an economy rate of 3.56. Also, he has the best bowling figures of 6/88. With a ten-wicket haul, he has been one of India’s unsung heroes in this format. Well, India is home to many quality pacers and Yadav is one of them!

Talking about his batting, Yadav has the highest score of 31. This means that he can hold on to one end with ease. Whenever the team will require a tail-ender, Yadav can come in a stand-by with a batsman. Hence, Yadav might be a good choice for the replacement of Bumrah!
