The visitors chased down the required target of 157 runs in 18.2 overs winning the game by 8 wickets. India had a terrible start in the first innings as they lost their first 3 wickets for only 24 runs. The Indian captain Virat Kohli played a magnificent knock of 77 runs off 46 balls to help the team reach a fighting total of 156/6. Mark Wood picked up 3 wickets for 31 runs in his 4 overs.

132 – Virat smashed 4 sixes in his brilliant knock after which his sixes tally as an Indian captain has reached 132. He equalled Sourav Ganguly among Indian captains and is only behind MS Dhoni(211) now.
50 – This was Virat’s 50th international innings in which he scored over 50 runs and remained unbeaten till the end. He surpassed Sachin Tendulkar in this particular regard to become number 1 Indian and is at the third position in the overall record after Jacques Kallis (64) and Shivnarine Chanderpaul (56).
1421 – Virat’s run tally as T20I captain has now reached 1421, and he surpassed Kane Williamson(1383). Now, only Aaron Finch (1462) is ahead of him.

1554 – Jos Buttler now has 1554 runs in T20Is as a wicketkeeper after which he has become just the third wicketkeeper to score over 1500 runs in the shortest format. Mohammad Shahzad (1918) and MS Dhoni (1617) are the other two players.
212 – The English wicketkeeper smacked 4 sixes in his wonderful knock. He has 212 sixes in international cricket as a wicketkeeper now and crossed over Brendon McCullum (208) during his innings to attain the third spot.
50 – The attacking batsman registered his 50th score of over 50 runs in international cricket as wicketkeeper in this innings, and became the second English keeper to achieve the landmark.
