India and England are currently fighting it out in the third and final ODI of the three-match series. Both sides are giving it their all as this is a decider game. After the way, England batted in the second match, the hosts are already making an effort to score runs at a good pace and it will be interesting to see how many records are broken in the third ODI.

After losing the toss, India got off to a good start thanks to Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma. The duo didn’t waste much time in taking the attack to the opposition. While the former was the aggressor in the partnership, Rohit slowly got into the groove and was looking set to play a big knock. However, Adil Rashid got the better of him in the 15th over with a brilliant googly.

Rohit Sharma didn’t read the googly at all and the position he got into, it was clear that he was playing for the leg-break. The result was a huge gap between bat and pad and the ball crashed into his stumps. Rohit scored 37 off as many deliveries with six fours to his name but was looking good for more on the day before being foxed by Rashid.

India lose quick wickets

Meanwhile, after a stunning 103-run opening partnership, India are in a spot of bother. After dismissing Rohit Sharma, England spinners Rashid and Moeen Ali put India in further trouble dismissing Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in quick succession.

India skipper got out to Moeen for the ninth time in his international career while Dhawan chipped one back to Rashid after looking good for his 67. Soon KL Rahul also followed putting the hosts in trouble at 157/4. India’s plans to score big runs have gone haywire now and they will have to play cautiously in order to make sure that they don’t lose their way in the innings.

Having said that, a minimum score of 300 is required given England’s batting firepower and Rishabh Pant will be key for them now.
