India fast-bowler Mohammed Siraj just cannot stop winning hearts at the moment. Just a couple of months ago, the pacer from Hyderabad had received praise from all over for rushing in and attending to rival Cameron Green after he was hit on the head during a warm-up game. It was followed by his stunning performance in Australia.

The right-arm pacer had finished the Test series as India’s vital one as he played a key role in the monumental triumph Down Under. And Siraj won all the hearts once again on Monday with his reaction to Ravichandran Ashwin’s century in the ongoing second Test against England at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Had anyone started watching the match from the moment when Ashwin and Siraj were running between the wickets just before the former’s century, he or she would have definitely thought that it was Siraj who was reaching his century. The way the pacer was celebrating while running between the wickets, it was truly incredible.

The 26-year-old celebrated Ashwin’s special moment as if he himself had scored the century as he showed just how strong the camaraderie between the players is. Siraj’s reaction of pure and unbridled joy was just too good and unsurprisingly, he is being lauded by the fans on social media. Commentator Laxman Sivaramakrishnan was also heard praising Siraj for his gesture.

Ashwin’s century put India on top:

India have put themselves in the driver’s seat thanks to a sensational century from Ashwin. The off-spinner, who picked up 5 wickets in the first innings, scored 106 runs before becoming the last Indian wicket to fall. Ashwin had come out to bat when India were reeling at 106 for 6 and steadied the ship with Virat Kohli by sharing a 96-run stand.

From there on, he shared crucial stands with the tail-enders to help India score 286 and set England an improbable target of 482. Siraj also impressed with the bat as he showed remarkable maturity to help Ashwin score his ton. After Ashwin reached his ton, Siraj also hit two huge sixes and remained unbeaten on 16.
