Team India isn’t having an ideal outing in the ongoing last One Day International of the three-match series at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Entering the contest, India made just one change in their Playing XI as they decided to go with four pace options and included T Natarajan in place of spinner Kuldeep Yadav.
The toss went in the favor of England skipper Jos Buttler and he invited Virat Kohli & Men to bat first. Opening the innings, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan had a dream start as they launched an assault on the opposition bowlers and collected as many as 65 runs in the first 10 overs.
Rohit Sharma, who isn’t going through a good phase with the willow in the ODI series, got off to an excellent start in the third One Day International as he scored 37 runs in 36 balls and was able to middle the ball well on the bat.
Seeing the veteran opener in rhythm, India’s celebrated spinner Ravi Ashwin predicted that Sharma will be smashing his fourth double hundred and India will be able to post a mammoth score of 400+ on the scoreboard. This is a crucial game for both the teams as the series is leveled by 1-1 after India won the first game by 66 runs while England registered victory in the next fixture by 6 wickets.
“In ODI cricket only once has 400 been chased down and Rohit Sharma has only 3 double tons.#INDvsENG #justsaying” the ace Indian spinner wrote on Twitter
Deleted tweet of Ashwin

However, Aswin went wrong with his prediction and might have jinxed Rohit Sharma as just after the tweet by the ace spinner, the opening batsman lost his wicket to spinner Adil Rashid while playing at a score of 37 off 37. Rashid had bowled a stunning googly to give the first breakthrough to his team and send Mumbai-born back to the pavilion.
As soon as Rohit Sharma lost his wicket to Adil, Ravi Ashwin again took to his official Twitter handle to delete his tweet and in another tweet added that he might have jinxed a good start for the Men in Blue.
“I deleted the previous tweet! #jinxedagoodstart #INDvsENG” Ravi Ashwin tweeted.
