India vs New Zealand: KL Rahul ruled out of Test series, Suryakumar Yadav replaces him
KL Rahul's absence will be a big loss for the hosts going into the two-match Test series.
Team India opening batter KL Rahul has sustained a muscle strain on his left thigh and has been ruled out of the upcoming two-match Test series against New Zealand. He will now undergo rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in preparation for the series against South Africa scheduled next month.
The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Suryakumar Yadav as KL Rahul’s replacement. The first Test between India and New Zealand begins on 25th November 2021 in Kanpur. The second Test will be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai from December 3. KL Rahul’s absence will be a big loss for the hosts going into the two-match Test series.

India A taking on South Africa A in South Africa
On the other hand, India A players are taking part in a three-match unofficial Test series in South Africa. The series has started on November 23, Tuesday and Priyank Panchal has been handed captaincy duties for India A side. Hanuma Vihari, who was axed from India’s Test squad, has been named in India A squad.
Wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat, pace sensation Umran Malik, Ishan Porel have also been named in the squad. It will be interesting to watch performances from uncapped cricketers and how they fare under pressure. Recently, selectors have also added Deepak Chahar and Ishan Kishan to the squad.
