Rohit Sharma is leading India in the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand. This is the first time he is leading the side on a full-time basis in the shortest format having filled in for Virat Kohli on previous occasions. With added responsibility on his shoulders and after what happened in the T20 World Cup, all eyes were on the India skipper in terms of captaincy and also his batting.

And the man looked in complete control during his knock in the chase. He looked in control of his innings right from the word go and whenever one wants to confirm if Rohit is in control of his innings, the bowlers should bowl short at him and watch the ball go over deep mid-wicket boundary.

Rohit just loves to play the pull shot and Trent Boult got the taste of it in the 5th over of the innings when he conceded 21 runs. The left-arm seamer had lost his control on his bowling thanks to smart batting earlier in the over and landed a short delivery. Rohit Sharma’s eyes lit up quickly and the pull shot came out from his armory much to the delight of the jam packed crowd at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

The timing was perfect on the shot the ball traveled a huge 89 metres into the stands. Even the ball had to be changed given the COVID protocols nowadays.
